Main House Exterior ’01

6/5/2001
After over 70 years of wear, many layers of paint and some partial replacement of sections of stucco, we decided to restore exterior of the Main House to a condition deserving of its character. After considering options ranging from inexpensive, modern vinyl siding to original stucco panels with cedar trim boards we decided to maintain the appearance of the house while upgrading to innovative materials. The revitalization was completed with stucco textured panels made from a composite cement board which were trimmed with composite plank boards. The work was contracted to a firm experienced with restoration work, and thanks to the innovative material, will need little maintenance over the years while carrying a material warranty.
